Material Comparison
Each project is different, with different goals, objectives, value, purpose and time frame. Increasingly, clients are asking their builders and architects for the next big thing to save them money; without compromising quality. Some materials are cheaper outright, some more expensive, all with pros and cons. So what are the real costs when the job is finished?

Case Study - EIFS vs. Fibre Cement
“I am convinced that I would not go back to using fibre cement base sheet products”
Since using NPS Wall cladding consisting of NPS panels made from expanded polystyrene and specified render on my 3 projects at Walter St Murarrie,
I am convinced that I would not go back to using fibre cement base
sheet products.
My projects had a degree of difficulty with limited space and
the NPS cladding simplified the application process. It has so
many advantages over fibre cement sheets, even though the cost is
marginally higher.
This is where I made my savings:
- Scaffold hire is limited on two story construction
- Installation of NPS cladding is very quick
- No need for window flashings or external architraves
- Provides insulation and assists with sound dampening
End result after painting shows no defects against sunlight at any
time of day and comes with 10 year warranty if all applications are
followed to specifications.
I have been extremely happy with my first experience using this
product, and would highly recommend it to other builders.
